Privacy Policy
Chibomi turns a short dance video into a video of your chibi character dancing, and lets you dress that character up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect
- An anonymous account. The app creates an account with a random identifier when it first opens. No name, email or password is needed to play.
- Sign in with Apple (optional). If you link your Apple ID so your chibi and coins follow you to a new phone, we store the anonymous identifier Apple gives us for your account and, if you share it, your email or Apple's relay address. We never see your Apple password.
- Videos and photos you upload. They are used only to make the content you asked for (your dance video, a picture with your chibi, a chibi drawn from a selfie). Uploads are deleted automatically within 7 days; the finished creations stay in your gallery until you delete them.
- Your chibi and outfits. The parts and fits you choose, and the coins you have.
- Purchases. What you bought and when. Payment is handled by Apple (in the app) or Stripe (on the web store); we never receive your card number.
- Usage and diagnostics. Which screens are used, whether videos succeed or fail and why, crash reports. This is how we find bugs and see what people enjoy.
How your uploads are processed
Making a chibi video uses AI models run by our service providers (currently fal.ai and Amazon Web Services). Your clip is sent to them only to render your result and is not used to train their models under our agreements. Every upload is checked automatically for content we cannot host (explicit or violent material); clips that fail the check are refused and refunded.
What we never do
- Sell your data or share your videos with other users.
- Show ads based on your content.
- Use your face to identify you anywhere else.
Age
Chibomi is for people 13 and older. If you are under 13, please don't use the app; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it. Where local law sets a higher age for consenting to data processing, that age applies.
Deleting your data
Settings › Delete my chibi and data removes your account, your chibi, your gallery and your coins, immediately and for good. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
Where data lives
Our servers run in the United States (Amazon Web Services and Supabase). If you use Chibomi elsewhere, your data is processed there.
